Andrews note from Lhasa | |
| Well
I never, we've actually made it to the top of the world. It's been a bloody tough ride up and over the Himalayas, plenty of 5000m+ passes. The altimeter watches recorded the max at 5220m at 19:05, hmm a sensible time to be at the highest point of the highest road, in the world. It was good fun though. When I was a wee lad my Physics teacher told me 'McLaughlin you lack moral fibre'. Well I'm sure I've got far too much of the bloody stuff now, any requests and it's going cheap. Now all I want is to be in SE Asia with a little boat and some nice short stretches of kayaking (hmmm!) More interesting trivia. Climbing Mera Peak: 6500m only costs 1200pounds flights everything, see you all there soon. Met a bloke last night who's off to climb Cho Oyu (8150m, but quite easy) Oh for an easy life. Andy |
